In the DNA: A Human’s Worth

In the beginning
The One with no beginning
Made a male and female
Each formed in His image
We’re testaments to His existence

It was His aim from the start
For love to flood every heart
Somewhere along the way
We chose to go astray
Look where we are today

Turn the other cheek is weak
Eye for an eye is the code to live by
We’ve been seduced and reduced
Humanity to enemies
To hate and eliminate

What have we done?
What have we become?
For heaven’s sake
Think of what’s at stake

We’ve been chosen
To bring mercy and peace
Love with arms wide open
It’s who we’re supposed to be

It’s not too late
Heaven waits for us
To get this straight
We have God’s DNA

We can do the unthinkable
We can love the unloveable
Everyone on this earth
Was born with infinite worth

So, it’s time to raise the bar
Let’s show the world who we are
