Extraordinarily Ordinary: Simplicity with You

What’s going on?
What went wrong?
The days of simplicity
Seem to be long gone

We crave so much
Yet, no matter what we get
There’s still regret
It’s never enough

The ordinary pleasures
Together face-to-face
Walks in the park
Talks until dark
A warm embrace
Treasures beyond measure

Everything the world can give
Every minute is worthless
If I don’t have you in it
It would be so empty
If you’re not next to me

I hope you’re seeing
You’re a godsend to me
Since you came through my door
Life has more meaning

I owe so much to you
This is no coincidence
It’s divine providence
You’ve taught me to value
What’s most important
Thank you
