Happy December everyone! I initially wrote this on my social sites but decided to move it here to my blog about my thoughts on relationships and why honor is so important, especially for men. As I do, I think about the One who created men.
A Down-to-Earth Observation from Heavenly Logic
Why is God shall I say so “heaven-bent” on wanting praise? People ask, “Is He an egomaniac or is He suffering from low esteem and needs to be coddled?” Those questions are legitimate. I had them myself.
As a father for the past 15 years and previously a husband, I’m beginning to understand God’s logic. Let me bring it down to earth.
When I’m on social media, I’ll see posts from a woman praising the man in her life often in response to something he has done or something he’s given them. The posts rarely celebrate the man himself, and they give the notion that love is tied to performance. If another man can do better or give more, that woman’s love will go to him.
Glory Ascending, Blessings Descending
There’s a saying in Christian circles, “When the praises go up, the blessings come down.” That’s to say when people appreciate God for who He is, they’ll get everything He has.
I believe God imprinted His desire for affirmation into the male psyche. When a woman validates her man for who he is, I believe that feeling rivals, or in some cases exceeds sexual pleasure (in the case of husbands). He’ll go far and beyond to please her.
Praise to the Highest and Good Will Toward Men
Christmas is a reason for bringing joy and cheer to others. More importantly, the season is a special time to celebrate the Man, Jesus Christ, God in flesh — born in a manger, died on a cross, and resurrected from the grave.
Ladies, you can honor God and have the ability to create heaven on earth for the man in your life by telling him today how much you appreciate him alone.
Merry Christmas to all!
